- Excess in take of fatty foods
- Alcohol
- Certain drugs
- Microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, amoebae etc.
Many diseases of the liver are accompanied by jaundice (yellowing of skin, eyes) caused by increased levels of bilirubin in the body. Other symptoms of liver damage include:
