Introduction:
Cough is the most common symptom of respiratory
inflections allergic reactions etc. where it helps to throw out the excess mucus. It could also be due to environmental
reasons such as pollution and is commonly seen in smokers. Cough could be of
different types – productive, dry, spasmodic etc. Meet cough syrups, particularly

Indications:
It is prescribed for symptomatic relief in:
- The treatment of allergic and spasmodic cough
- Sore throat
- Dry cough, Smoker’s cough
- Mild infections such as laryngitis and lower respiratory tract irritation due to infections (along with antibiotics)
Dosage and Administration:
Adults: 5 – 10 ml, 2 - 3 times a day.
Children: 2.5 – 5 ml, 2 – 3 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.
