NPIL has witnessed quantum increase in R&D investment over the last 5 years. A 20000 sq.ft. centralized R&D facility ‘Quest Institute of Life Sciences’ has been created at Mumbai. The CMG is actively supported by the following R&D groups - 

• Process Research – focuses on process development, custom chemical synthesis, analytical method development & impurity profiling.
  
  
• Pharma Research – focuses on developing new drug delivery systems.
