NPIL is the only large Indian pharmaco with no track record of patent violations and challenges. NPIL undertakes to assiduously protect the IPR of its partners and is institutionalizing formal systems to achieve this intent.

NPIL has framed its IPR policy as follows:

• Respecting the IPR of all pharma companies
• Not infringing any process or product
• Establishing systems & procedures to protect its own as well as partner’s IPRs
• Promoting a culture of IPR protection inside the organization
