Pizzette (small pizza)
Ingredients : Pizza Dough
1/2 pound flour
1/2 cup lukewarm water
pinch of salt and sugar
1/4 oz. dry yeast
4 tablespoons olive oil.
Garnish
Peeled fresh tomatoes diced fine
cheese diced
oregano herbs (optional)
Method
Dissolve yeast in the water. Add a pinch of sugar. Cover and
set aside till foamy. Sift the flour and salt together in
a bowl and add yeast. Work dough with your hands and smooth
the shape into a ball, cover with a cloth and set aside for
about 30 minutes till the dough doubles in size. Separate
the dough into parts and roll into 2 in. diameter rounds.
Spread in an oiled baking dish and garnish with tomatoes,
cheese and oregano. Sprinkle with oil and bake in a pre-heated
oven at 425 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
